Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy in leprosy services is to maintain, improve and enhance the occupational performance of people with leprosy in the areas of ADL, productivity and leisure utilization. Occupational therapy uses therapeutic activities with the aim of maintaining or improving occupational performance components (sensory, perceptual, cognitive, social and spiritual) and occupational performance areas (self-care, productivity and leisure utilization) so that patients are able to increase functional independence, improve health status and participate in society according to their role.
